60 Days

To Stabilize A Penalized Website

Ten lakh organic visits a month became one lakh in six months. A Google penalty did that. Sixty days of diagnostic work and a rebuilt content strategy reversed the direction. The site now grows 8 to 10% per month on organic, consistently.

01.

Discovery
Call

This is not a sales call. It’s a structured conversation where we understand your business – what’s worked, what hasn’t, what’s on the table, and what keeps you up at night. We come prepared with questions. You leave with clarity.

02.

Full Digital
Audit

We go through everything – your ad accounts, SEO data, social media channels, ecommerce performance, CRM data and competitive landscape. Not surface-level. Not automated. Our team reviews your actual numbers so we know exactly what we’re working with before we say a word about strategy.

03.

Strategy Built
From Scratch

No copy-paste frameworks. No industry templates. Based on the audit, we build a strategy specific to your brand, your audience, and your goals. Two clients won’t get the same plan, because they’re not the same business.

04.

We Walk You
Through It All

We get on a call and present the full strategy, the reasoning behind every recommendation, the channels we’ve chosen, the ones we’ve ruled out, and the plan to hit your goals. You get to ask every possible question.

05.

We Get
to Work

Once aligned, execution begins. Setup, tracking, timelines, and a clear point of contact, all in place from day one. No ambiguity about who owns what

Stories We Stitch Across Sectors

TAPMI · Srishti Manipal · ITM Group

A name like Manipal University already gets searched for directly, so the job is being found, not introduced.

A growing network like ITM Group is still earning that same recognition, so the job starts a step earlier. Two institutions, two different starting lines, the same finish line.

Education

Proschool · FPA Edutech · SISYA Class

Course discovery in edtech moves fast across search, ads, and YouTube at once, and most brands just need to run all three well.

Every so often, the real problem is upstream: leads going in and quietly disappearing before anyone notices.

We’ve learned to check the pipe before reaching for more spend.

Edtech

Shoonya · Samco · jUMPP · Zenith Finserve

A trading platform earns belief through long, patient explanation, which is why video does more work than any ad in that category.

A personal finance brand answers a quieter, more searching kind of question, which is why a place like Quora matters as much as a search ranking. Same industry, different nervous systems.

Finance

Neelagri · Makebot Robotics

Amazon rewards different signals than Flipkart, and both reward different signals than your own website, so scaling all three at once means refusing to treat them as one channel.

Sometimes the real starting point is even earlier than that: a website that’s actually built to convert in the first place.

Ecommerce

HoABL · Finblaze

In a small, expensive micro-market, every rupee of media has to land with precision; that part is its own discipline.

But the bigger lesson real estate has taught us is that reputation often outweighs the media plan, and it has to work twice: once for the people buying, once for the people you’re trying to hire.

Real Estate

The Outpost.ai

An AI-run news site can publish at a volume no human team could match, and that exact strength is what triggered a Google penalty severe enough to erase its visibility overnight.

Recovering meant understanding the automation well enough to rebuild trust in it, not just patch the symptoms.

Local SEO Myths

A Google Business Profile alone is local SEO. Nothing else needs attention.

Your profile is the storefront, not the whole business.

Google still looks at your website’s local content, your citations across other directories, your review activity, and how consistent your business details are everywhere they appear online.

A profile with no supporting content behind it plateaus fast. Think of it as the entry point, not the strategy.

Google ties each profile to one physical, staffed location. If you run three branches, you need three verified profiles, each with its own address, phone number, and local content.

Trying to fold multiple locations into a single listing usually gets flagged or suspended, and it also means you lose out on ranking for searches near each individual branch.

Most are, but not all.

Google restricts profiles for businesses without a genuine physical presence or a defined service area, and it periodically tightens rules around categories it considers high-risk for spam, like rental listings or certain financial services.

Eligibility depends on how you operate, not just whether you’re a real, registered business.

Only if you actually work from there regularly and can prove it.

Google has cracked down hard on businesses using shared or virtual offices purely to appear in more locations than they operate from.

If your team gets a support ticket asking for proof of presence and can’t produce one, the listing risks suspension.

This is one of the most common ways businesses get their listings removed.

Google’s guidelines are specific: a location needs staff present during stated hours, or it needs to be represented as a service-area business instead, with no public address shown at all.

Creating a listing for every city on your service map, without an actual office in each, is a policy violation, not a growth hack.

They share some foundations, like solid on-page structure and technical health, but the ranking signals diverge from there.

Local SEO weighs proximity, your Google Business Profile, and citation consistency heavily.

Regular SEO leans more on domain authority, content depth, and backlinks at scale.

A page that ranks nationally for a keyword can still be invisible in the local map pack, and vice versa.

Distance is one of three main ranking factors Google uses for local results, alongside relevance and prominence.

A business two kilometres further away can still outrank the nearest one if it has stronger reviews, better category matching, and more complete listing information.

Proximity gets you in the conversation. It doesn’t win it alone.

They do, just differently than in national SEO. Local citations (your business listed consistently across directories like Justdial, Sulekha, or industry-specific platforms) function similarly to backlinks and carry real weight.

Genuine backlinks from local news sites, community pages, or industry publications also help. What doesn’t help is chasing volume over relevance.

It doesn’t work like that anymore, and it’s risky.

Google can detect duplicate or recreated listings tied to the same business, and doing this often triggers a suspension rather than a clean slate.

Old reviews sometimes reappear once the new listing is verified, since Google increasingly ties reviews to the business entity, not just the listing ID.

The better path is responding to negative reviews and building a steady stream of new ones to shift the overall picture.

A 4.8 rating from 6 reviews looks weaker to both Google and customers than a 4.5 from 300. Volume signals trust, and recency signals that the business is active and still delivering.

A business that hasn’t had a new review in eight months, even with a perfect rating, often loses ground to a competitor with a slightly lower rating and consistent recent activity.

Google has gotten considerably better at spotting patterns: reviews posted in quick bursts, accounts with no history reviewing only one business, or language that repeats suspiciously across multiple reviews.

Businesses caught doing this can lose their reviews, their ranking, or the listing itself.

It’s not a safe shortcut, and it rarely holds up for long even when it works temporarily.

Storefronts benefit, but they’re not the only ones.

Plumbers, electricians, home cleaning services, consultants who visit client sites, and moving companies all rely on local search too, even without a location customers walk into.

Google accounts for this with service-area business profiles, built specifically for businesses that serve a region without a public-facing address.

If anything, smaller cities and towns often have less competition, which means local SEO efforts show results faster there.

A dentist in a tier-2 city competing against three other clinics has a much easier path to the top of the map pack than one competing against thirty clinics in a metro.

Market size changes the difficulty, not the necessity.

Multi-location retail chains, regional hospital networks, and franchise businesses all depend on local SEO, often at a bigger scale and with more complexity, since each branch needs its own visibility.

The difference isn’t whether local SEO applies. It’s how many locations you’re managing it for.

These categories get cited most often because they’re easy to picture, but the same principles apply to real estate brokers, educational institutes, gyms, auto repair shops, law firms, and coaching centres.

Any business where customers search with intent tied to a place, whether that’s “near me,” a city name, or a neighbourhood, benefits from the same approach.

They can, and they regularly do. Google’s service-area business setting lets a business show up in local results for the areas it serves, without displaying a public address.

A pest control company that serves an entire district but has no walk-in office is not excluded from local search.

It just needs its profile configured correctly for that setup.

National rankings depend on domain-wide signals.

Local rankings depend on location-specific signals like your Google Business Profile, local citations, and location-specific content.

A well-known national brand can still lose the local pack to a smaller competitor with a better-optimised local presence in that specific city.

Apple Maps, Bing Places, and platforms like Yelp or TripAdvisor (depending on your industry) all pull traffic too, and increasingly, so do AI-driven assistants.

Treating Google as the only surface that matters means missing customers who are searching, navigating, or getting recommendations somewhere else entirely.

AI Overviews pull their answers from the same underlying data local SEO builds: your website, your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and third-party listings.

If anything, having strong, consistent, well-structured local information makes a business more likely to be the source an AI Overview cites.

Obsolete would mean AI stopped needing sources. It hasn’t.

They do, extensively. Tools built on large language models pull from indexed web content, structured data, and third-party platforms to answer location-based questions, exactly the kind of information local SEO work produces and organizes. A business with thin, inconsistent, or outdated information across these sources gives these tools less to work with, and less reason to recommend it.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find the answers you need?
We’re here to help with any questions you have!

What does your local SEO service actually include?

It covers everything that decides whether a nearby customer finds you or your competitor: Google Business Profile optimisation, citation building across relevant directories, on-page and technical fixes specific to local search, location-specific content, and a structured approach to reviews.

We don’t sell these as separate add-ons you have to piece together.

They’re built as one connected strategy, because a strong profile with no supporting content, or great content with inconsistent citations, both underperform on their own.

Yes, and it’s usually where we start.

That means getting your categories right, writing a description that actually reflects search intent instead of just describing the business, adding services and attributes correctly, managing posts, and keeping your profile active.

A profile that’s claimed but neglected rarely holds its position once competitors start putting in consistent effort.

We do. Consistency across directories, industry-specific platforms, and aggregators is one of the more tedious but high-impact parts of local SEO.

We audit what’s already out there, fix inconsistencies in your name, address, and phone number, and build new citations where it makes sense for your industry and location.

Random directory submissions with no relevance to your business don’t help, so we’re selective about where we list you.

We focus on building a steady, genuine flow of reviews rather than chasing a number overnight.

That includes setting up simple systems for your team to request reviews at the right moment, writing response templates for both positive and negative feedback, and monitoring review activity so nothing sits unanswered for weeks.

We don’t buy or fabricate reviews. Beyond the obvious risk of penalties, it doesn’t build the kind of trust that actually converts a searcher into a customer.

Yes, when it’s warranted.

For multi-location businesses, that usually means dedicated pages for each branch or service area, written to reflect what’s actually different about that location rather than a copy-paste template.

For single-location businesses, it’s often local blog content answering questions your specific customer base is searching for.

We scope this based on your business, not a fixed package.

This is something we actively guard against.

Each location page needs a genuine reason to exist: different services offered at that branch, local landmarks or areas served, location-specific testimonials, or team details unique to that site.

If a page only changes the city name in an otherwise identical template, it adds no value to the reader and can hurt rankings rather than help them.

We’d rather build fewer, stronger location pages than a large number of thin ones.

The parts of technical SEO that directly affect local visibility, yes.

Page speed, mobile usability, structured data for local business schema, and crawlability of location pages are all part of the scope.

If your website has broader technical issues unrelated to local search, we’ll flag them, and depending on the extent, that may sit under a separate technical SEO engagement.

It depends on a few things: how many locations you’re managing, how competitive your industry and city are, and how much groundwork already exists versus what needs to be built from scratch.

A single-location business with a decent starting profile costs less to manage than a ten-branch chain competing in a crowded metro.

Rather than quoting a number without that context, we’d rather understand your situation on a call and give you a figure that’s actually accurate.

Yes. Local SEO tends to matter most for smaller and independent businesses, since they’re the ones competing directly with others in the same few kilometres for the same searches.

We scope the work to match the size and budget of the business, so a single clinic or store isn’t paying for a strategy built for a franchise chain.

We do. Restaurants depend heavily on map pack visibility, review volume, and accurate hours and menu information, so the strategy leans into those areas specifically.

Yes. Healthcare-related local SEO involves some added care around accurate information, patient trust signals, and review handling given the sensitivity of the space, and we build the strategy around that.

We do. For law firms, prominence and trust signals tend to matter more than they do in other categories, since prospective clients are making a higher-stakes decision, so we weight the strategy accordingly.

Yes. Accountants often serve a mix of walk-in local clients and clients they work with remotely, so we tailor the profile and content to reflect both without diluting the local signal.

We do. Plumbing and other home-service businesses usually operate as service-area businesses without a public storefront, so the setup and optimisation approach differs from a retail or clinic listing.

Yes. Moving companies often serve a wide geographic radius rather than a single neighbourhood, so we structure the service-area settings and content to reflect the actual regions served instead of treating it like a single-location business.

We prefer to.

Local SEO works better with input from the people closest to the customer: sales knows what objections come up, customer service knows what questions repeat, and marketing knows what’s already been tried.

We build that collaboration into the process rather than treating it as optional.

Yes. We’ve worked in setups where the in-house team owns certain pieces, like development or content publishing, while we handle strategy and execution on others.

We adjust the working model based on what your team already owns and where the gaps actually are.

Yes. We start with an audit of what’s currently in place, including your Google Business Profile history, existing citations, review patterns, and any location content already published.

That tells us what’s working, what’s actively hurting you, and what needs to be rebuilt rather than continued as is.
